Highly recommended!

Beautiful place, excellent park land surrounding the villa with many hiking trails! Our hostess was very helpful in getting us set up in the apartment and filling us in on things to see in the area. Highly recommended!

So serene and private feeling

Much better than we expected: the little house was spacious and the pool etc huge. So serene and private feeling. Near amazing beaches. We were impressed and speak of returning. Great wine too.

Amazing place

This is an amazing place. It's like staying in the annexe of a stately home. It's so quiet and beautiful and the grounds of the estate are wonderful. There are free bycicles to cycle around on. Lusitano horses nearby. The swimming pool is fabulous and very quiet. Sesimbra is 10 minutes drive away with wonderful local restaurants. I cannot praise this place too highly. Fabulous!

Luogo unico

Luogo unico all’interno di una tenuta di 1000 ettari. Accanto al palazzo padronale sono stati restaurati gli alloggi rustici. Un luogo davvero unico. Ines ci ha accolti con cortesia e simpatia. Ottimo il vino rosso di produzione locale.

Lindíssimo!

A quinta é lindíssima e tudo está muito cuidado. Preservação incrível da natureza. Muito tranquilo.

Boven mijn verwachting

We kregen goede hulp van de hostess die ons 's avonds laat zelfs ophaalde in het dorp en ons voor reed naar de accommodatie en daar ons verder hielp. De hygiene was boven mijn verwachting. Het was in alle huisjes echt heerlijk schoon, met aandacht klaargemaakt, ruim, goed onderhouden. Het zwembad was ook heerlijk!! Een mooie plek om daar in de zon te liggen met groen om je heen. Ook het contact van te voren met de eigenaar ging prima. We werden vanaf het moment van boeken, tot thuiskomst goed geholpen! Mochten we weer eens naar dit gebied gaan, dan zou ik zeker terug komen.

Tout était parfait

C’était un très bon séjour Tout était parfait, le personnel très agréable, accueillant et attentionné. Le logement parfait, très propre. L’environnement très reposant. Nous avons fait une balade à vélo grâce aux vélos mis à disposition et nous avons pu admirer l’océan après avoir pédaler dans la Sierra Arrábida. Autant les adultes que les enfants ont adoré ces quelques jours. Un grand merci.

Beautiful location

Beautiful location close to nice beaches and close enough to Lisbon to take day drips to the museums there. Great cycling opportunities around the estate where the holiday home is located. Cycling away from busy roads but through beautiful countryside.

Temidden het Arrabida-natuurpark

Casa de Calhariz is zeer rustig gelegen temidden het Arrabida-natuurpark. Het huisje waarin wij verbleven was heel netjes en ruim. Sesimbra (heerlijke visrestaurants) is in een tiental minuten met de auto te bereiken. Het zwembad is voldoende groot en er zijn genoeg ligbedden aanwezig. Er zijn wandelroutes op het domein (1000ha) en er zijn mountainbikes aanwezig. Op aanvraag kan je de tuin van het kasteel bezoeken.

Spectacular property

This is a spectacular property which belongs to a local Duke. The houses were once housing for the workers. They have been renovated nicely and are quite comfortable and clean. There is an awesome pool area and get the host in charge to take you on a tour of the gardens, they are wonderful! The young lady who worked there was very knowledgeable and sweet. This place is very out in the middle of nowhere, so be prepared. You want to bring provisions with you as there is no food available on the property. We loved the remoteness and it was just what we were looking for for a weekend respite from our busy schedule in Portugal.

Hospitality at its best!

The villas are really nice, located in a wonderful rural setting. They have got everything to make your staying very comfortable (dishwasher, washing and drying machine, table and chairs for dining out...). The pool is fantastic, with a lovely view (with shower and facilities). It is a quiet but not isolate place; the owner and the people working for him are very kind. Hospitality at its best!
